Through our clinical and research programs we provide children and families
with services that give them a chance to function at their very best and live
the lives they are meant to live. Many families who adopt high-risk children
have limited financial means to enlist professional help when they encounter
difficulties. Most cannot afford to receive the high quality services that
their at-risk children so critically need. At CRT, we do our best to ensure
that families receive essential interventions, regardless of their financial
status. Children's Research Triangle depends on the generosity of private
donors, corporations and foundations to support our programs.
In 2006-2007 CRT received several generous foundation grants. The Michael Reese Health Trust is funding our dyadic parenting groups, which allow parents and children to build stronger relationships in a supportive environment. Our trauma therapy groups will be funded by Chicago Tribune Charities-Holiday, a fund of the McCormick Tribune Foundation. The Peacock, Rice and Keck foundations help us provide the Camp SOAR experience to children at an affordable cost; 70% of the operation of the camp is subsidized by foundations and individual contributions. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we have been able to offer camp scholarships. The support of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and Chicago Board of Trade foundations enable us to provide clinical services to families who are not able to pay the full fees, and the Illinois Attorney General's Violent Crime Victim's Assistance grant supports our work with traumatized children and adolescents.
We are grateful to all of our donors who allow us to continue to work with many families in need of services. Your generous contribution will:
With your help we can fulfill our commitment to provide
services to families who could not otherwise afford the
benefit of state-of-the-art interventions. The staff at
CRT is dedicated to providing needed services, thus
inspiring hope and confidence, to the children and the
devoted parents who want the best for them. We look
forward to having the opportunity to make a difference
together and provide very special children a chance to
grow into their dreams.
